Coara Data Destruction Standards
We carry out all work in accordance with The Environment Agency’s legislation – and we’re also one of the few firms in the country to hold the following certifications:
– BS EN 15713 ensures that we are correctly collecting and destroying data. It is a Secure Destruction of Confidential Material qualification
– ISO 9001 ensures our quality services consistently meet the needs of our customers
– ISO 14001 ensures we have an effective environmental management system in place
– ISO 27001 ensures we are qualified to work with sensitive company information
We’ve made an extra effort to acquire all of these management standards to ensure our customers have total confidence in our services – especially these confidential data destruction services. Our data wipe procedures also meet specific criteria complying with the US D.o.D (Department of Defense) standards – so you can rest assured that every trace of your data has been destroyed completely.
What do we dispose of?
As part of our data destruction service, our professional, DBS-checked team can handle the following items:
- Hard drives
- Data storage devices
- Back-up devices
- CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray discs
- Compliant decommissioning
What methods do you use?
There are two options you can choose from when it comes to destroying your data:
Data Wiping – this method completely wipes hard drive to remove all sensitive data. A specific type of software will be used to wipe all trace of the data from the hard drive. The data can never be restored once it’s been removed in this way.
Data Shredding – not quite as simple as shredding your documents, this form of shredding involves putting your hard drive through an industrial shredding machine which completely destroys the internal workings of the drive. The drive will never be able to be rebuilt or accessed again.
The eco-friendly element
At Coara, protecting the environment and minimising our impact on it is always a key aim. Our data destruction and commercial waste disposal services always consider ways in which we can reuse or recycle any waste we recover, to help London become a little more eco-friendly.
